Add & Edit Voyages

Adding to or editing voyage records requires some assumptions be made and you need to have a source of information such as a newspaper record to hand AND you need to be an authorised user, logged on. A GUEST cannot do this..

To the right is a page from Papers Past, the New Zealand newspaper archive.

Let's assume we're making a new entry for the vessel Tyra which the newspaper records as arriving at Port Chalmers on 23 Jan 1862. The year is determined from the date of the article, while of course that article is normally AFTER the event described.

Step 1

See if the ship named is already on the records.To do that select VESSELS and you reach a screen like this;
